front go through, as i mentioned. it's now settled across the central part of virginia, but there's no weather associated with this front. there's a nice area of high pressure coming in behind it, and it will produce a little bit of a breeze, but that's about it. as we head toward the middle of the week, we might see a little area of low pressure develop on wednesday, but for the next few days, it's going to be quiet. we did have the showers, as i mentioned before, but everything has dissipated now, and we expect a dry commute. we can see a little bit of cloud cover, especially in the southern suburb, but that's breaking up. we'll just call it a mix of sun and clouds. i'll show you the seven-day forecast in just a second. let me just give you the last update on igor. it passed over bermuda last night as a category one hurricane. it did produce some damage, but we're not seeing big reports of catastrophic conditions on the island. they got a big storm surge out of it, and now the storm is about 100 miles north of bermuda and pulling away into the open waters of the atlantic. so we

unless west virginia, pa, get down to the upper 30s tonight. there's a good chance in northern papa of scatter -- pennsylvania of scattered frost. most of the country, really, if you fly out to california, you won't even encounter a cloud as you can clearly see. a front came through with a few clouds. not a lot going on in our part of the world. there is another front that will approach us with some clouds wednesday night, ahead of it, however, very warm temperatures. tomorrow no problem, very fine weather, high pressure but that same high moves off. here comes some warmer air. temperatures will be getting back into the mop to upper -- mid to upper 80s. with the front close by, there may be a shower wednesday night. southeast winds five to 10 knots. bay temps in the mid-70s. tonight clear and cool. probably upper 40s to the mid- 50s. a beautiful night back into the mid-70s, a lot of sunshine and one more dry day and a big warmup on wednesday. >> wow. look forward to it. thank you. katie couric has a preview of what's coming up tonight. >>> steve hartman's mission to prove everybody

that produced a few sprinkle natural couple of neighborhoods, but now it's drifting south to virginia, and there's really no activity along this front. no precipitation. there was a little bit of a cloud deck that we still have to get through, so we'll call it a mix of sun and clouds as we go through the day today, but again, we don't expect any rain. partly to mostly sunny. and this cloud deck that's right on the edge of your screen there, those are the outer fringes of hurricane igor. we're finally going to say goodbye to igor. it passed across bermuda last night as a category one storm. i did not see any reports of catastrophic damage, but there was a big storm surge with this system, even though it was downgraded to category one. it still carries a big wall of water with it. now it's about 100 miles north of bermuda, and it will continue to track into the open waters of the north atlantic. so we say goodbye to igor. mostly sunny today. again, you'll see a couple of clouds hanging around, but jnl a nice day. going to be a little bit on the breezy side, but a good start to the workweek. clear
